This position 50% is responsible for the coordination of a variety of projects offered through the Iowa Institute of Public Health Practice Research and Policy (IPHPRP). This position works with the IPHPRP team and a variety of State and local public health staff and friends of public health to plan and deliver goals for new projects as they are developing for the IPHPRP which may include programming online and in person. This position will be responsible for overall project logistics and reporting and coordination to achieve project deliverables as stated in the project scope of work.
Oversee the development and logistical implementation of new projects.
Establish and maintain effective relationships.
Ensure policies and practices incorporate cultural competence and meet the needs of the target populations.
Measure outcomes with mulitple project-specific program objectives.
Keep website updated develop marketing tools generate registration forms develop emails for list serves and communicate opportunities.
Assist in the evaluation of projects.
Ensure effective communication with all public health organizations affiliated with the projects as well as CPH faculty staff and students.
Develop meeting agendas project plans and record program progress.
Communicate effectively with team members to assure efficient processes.
Manage program evaluations through surveys interviews and other evaluative tools.
Facilitate and evaluate quality improvement efforts. Develop quality improvement tools.
Streamline program operations for the program including administrative tasks.
Coordinate distribution of surveys questionnaires interviews and other evaluative instruments to identify strengths and weaknesses of the projects as needed.
Write reports as requested by supervisor to share training outcomes with funding agencies.
Coordinate general activities as assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in public health health education or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technological proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite Google products webinar and web conferencing software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across the organization at all levels; demonstrated effectiveness in building teams and collaborations; ability to adapt as needed.
Highly Desired Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year administrative and program experience.
MPH degree.
Experience developing organizational partnerships.
Experience in health promotion training programs
Experience in the implementation and evaluation of programs.
Knowledge of University of Iowa policies procedures and regulations.
Position and Application Details:
This position is eligible for hybrid work within Iowa and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. Per policy work arrangements will be reviewed annually and must comply with theremote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location.
