Intern Safety
Work Location: Butte or Helena Montana
Pay range: $20.00 - $21.00/hour (first year interns $20.00/hour returning interns $21.00/hour)
Employment Status: Temporary (May - August full-time 40 hours per week)
(September - December part-time up to 20 hours per week)

About this position:
An Intern will be assigned various utility safety and industrial hygiene work. Work will include a balance of office and field environment that could include electric and natural gas transmission and distribution or electric generation within hydroelectric dams or corporate program administration.
About this job:
- Provide assistance to Company safety professionals and conduct ergonomic evaluations work site inspections safety meeting presentations industrial hygiene sampling (e.g. noise indoor air quality) field inspections visits etc.
- Support Program Administration - OSHA recordkeeping medical surveillance drug and alcohol etc.
- Support and update safety standards and programs
- May be requested to conduct research on various safety/health related issues
- Participate in organizational work meetings
- May have limited travel up to 15% of time
- Lifting of materials up to 35 pounds

- Must have personal housing availability in work locations
