• 1.0 FTE full-time
• Monday - Friday from 8:00am 5:00pm.
• Call is inpatient Monday Friday 8:00am 5:00pm with MD support and collaboration.
• General Neurology Department with the ability to focus on select patient populations.
• Patient Population consists of patients with diagnoses of Migraine/Headaches Concussion Epilepsy Dementia Parkinsons Multiple Sclerosis Neuromuscular Disorders Neuropathy
• Experienced Neurodiagnostic Services provided by our Neurodiagnostic team with the ability to complete EEGs both inpatient and ambulatory and EMGs.
• Volumes:
  • Inpatient: 2-4 consults per day with daily follow-up and rounding
  • Outpatient: 10-15 patients per day

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment knowledge and decision-making skills while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals and families emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. Position requires a high level of patient-centered skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients co-workers and others.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

• Masters or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Bachelors or Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Previous experience in Neurology preferred

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state (if NP).
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in appropriate state.
• Current certification in CPR.
• National certification in applicable area.
• Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
