Job Description

Empower Young Lives Join Us as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (RMN)

Location: Based in Stockport with travel to services across Lancashire
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week Monday-Friday) On-call
Salary: (dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent


We are working with a specialist mental health provider in the North of England that delivers trauma-informed care to young people aged 1630. Their innovative model bridges the gap between hospital settings and independent living offering structured therapeutic support in both residential and community environments.

Were seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist (RMN) to join their multidisciplinary team and help shape the future of mental health care for young people in Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialist assessments and interventions for young people with complex mental health needs.
  • Provide weekly 1:1 sessions and support recovery-focused care planning.
  • Facilitate therapeutic group work and reflective practice sessions.
  • Lead clinical meetings (CPAs case reviews) coordinate care and contribute to risk formulation.
  • Deliver training supervise multi-agency professionals and support service development.
  • Engage with stakeholders screen referrals and assess new clients.
  • Participate in on-call rota and duty cover as required.

What Were Looking For:

  • RMN qualification with Band 6 experience.
  • Experience working with young people with complex mental health and neurodiversity.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and therapeutic risk management.
  • Ability to build and maintain therapeutic relationships with young people and families.
  • Confident communicator with excellent clinical documentation skills.
  • Access to a vehicle and willingness to travel across Lancashire sites.
  • Desirable: RNLD with relevant experience safeguarding qualifications community or secure setting experience.
