Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join our team in Heidelberg Germany. In this role you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable secure and automated CI/CD infrastructure ensuring smooth software delivery and system reliability across our development and production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to support software development and deployment of workflows.
- Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS Azure or GCP) and container orchestration (Docker Kubernetes).
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform Ansible or similar.
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and application performance using observability tools (e.g. Prometheus Grafana ELK Datadog).
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve build deployment and release processes.
- Ensure system reliability scalability and security across development staging and production environments.
- Implement best practices for DevSecOps backups access control and disaster recovery.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
Requirements:
Must-Have:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps SRE or infrastructure role.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI GitHub Actions).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes).
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g. Bash Python).
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform Ansible or similar).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
- Fluent in English; German at B2 level or above is a strong advantage.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Heidelberg Germany or in Germany (Remote)
Nice-to-Have:
- Knowledge of security best practices and DevSecOps.
- Experience with serverless architecture or hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
- Certification in AWS Azure or GCP is a plus.
