Job Summary
Job Position: Project Engineer - Plumbing
Our client is an industry leader in the design installation and service of HVAC refrigeration process piping building automation and plumbing systems. They offer a comprehensive package including a full 401(k) match. They are currently seeking a dedicated Project Engineer in Plumbing who will work closely with the Project Manager and will be responsible for the technical coordination of assigned projects.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure clear and consistent communication among project team members clients architects and vendors.
- Contribute to estimating scheduling and design within the design-build process.
- Write proposals memos subcontracts change orders and other project-related documents.
- Coordinate and participate in internal and external meetings.
- Perform takeoffs obtain vendor and subcontractor quotes compile bid estimates.
- Manage job progress interpret technical plans and specifications.
- Oversee purchasing and delivery processes and financial management of the project.
- Handle job closeout processes and commissioning.
- Collaboratively ensure all issues are communicated and resolved.
Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering Construction Management or related field is required. Mechanical and/or related engineering concentration is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated career progression in project engineering and oversight.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Experience in JDE IFS BidTracer Bluebeam FastEst Smartsheet Box or similar is preferred.
