Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Pharmacy plus 1 year of experience working as a pharmacist (or pharmacy intern) in a retail or hospital setting.
Certification as a licensed Registered Pharmacist by the State of Arkansas or eligible for licensure by the State of Arkansas.

Responsibilities:
Reviews and interprets prescribers orders and detects appropriateness of therapy; prepares and dispenses medications.
Prepares sterile admixtures using proper aseptic technique.
Prepares chemotherapy according to departmental policies and procedures.
Answers client questions regarding prescription renewal dosage and side effects.
Serves as a primary or co-preceptor for rotational students; provides formal in-depth training of students and new staff.
Assists with development of educational materials and in-services for staff development.
Directs advises and instructs staff in assigned area in all activities pertaining to job duties and functions.
Assists leadership in all aspects of pharmacy operations in area of assigned responsibility.
Serves as a liaison between the pharmacy service line and the assigned practice area.
Promotes a safe working environment by adhering to UAMS patient safety plan.
Ensures equipment and facilities are used calibrated and maintained properly.
Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements: Medium Work Exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 30 lbs of force frequently and/or up to 10 lbs of farce constantly ro move objects.
Visual Acuity: Employee is required to have acuity to determine the accuracy neatness and thoroughness of work assigned.
Working Conditions: The employee is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts or vehicles electrical current working in high places exposure to chemicals biological radiological or hazardous materials.
