Division Overview Astral

Astral Industries: Astral Industries is a premier manufacturer of high-quality steel burial caskets offering a diverse range of products including metal solid wood engineered wood veneer wood and cremation caskets. The division is unique in its ability to purchase raw steel coils and produce finished powder-coated caskets within a single facility. Astrals manufacturing capabilities include electro-mechanical assembly fabrication sheet metal forming stamping structural welding and automated powder coating. The company utilizes advanced processes such as a 6-stage pre-treatment for protective coatings and fully automated powder coat lines capable of handling large parts. These capabilities ensure that Astral Industries delivers best-in-class products with exceptional consistency and quality.

Position Overview

This position can be assigned to any of the three main production departments within the manufacturing facility. This is a first shift position with either a 5:00am or 7:00am start time.

• Stamping: The primary function of this department is to stamp the parts for the metal burial caskets using different types of presses depending on the part that is needed.
• Assembly: The primary function of this department is to weld and grind the stamped parts of the metal burial caskets.
• Finish: The primary function of this department is to install the finishing parts of the metal burial caskets. This includes but not limited to bed mattress fabric coverings hardware panels etc.

To perform any job within the duties of Production Operator I an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Production Operator I will remain actively signed off on 0-8 production-related jobs within their assigned department.

Education

• High School GED or equivalent is preferred

Experience

No experience is necessary but experience in the following areas but not limited to are preferred.

• Press Operator
• Welding/Grinding
• Sewing
• Hand Tools
