You Will Be Doing:
In this position you will be part of the statewide Public Assistance Eligibility Team. Together we will help Alaskan families elders and those in need reach higher levels of independence and self-sufficiency. Eligibility Technicians assist the public by connecting them to a variety of public assistance programs and services our agency provides.

This position joins a statewide eligibility workflow team in local Public Assistance offices across the state. The work location is in our Bethel office 460 Ridgecrest Dr. Bethel AK 99559.

One year of experience as an Eligibility Technician 2 with the State of Alaska or its equivalent with another employer and one year of lead or supervisory experience in any job;

OR

One year performing similar work that developed knowledge and skill in leading staff that apply program requirements while working with client customers in stressful situations.

Substitution:
Post-secondary education in such fields as sociology social work psychology counseling human services vocational rehabilitation developmental disabilities behavioral sciences business public administration or accounting may substitute for the required experience (undergraduate credits: 2.67 semester/4 quarter hours 1 month).

This position is currently under review as part of the Public Assistance Field Services Study; therefore the title and/or pay range currently assigned may be subject to change upon implementation of this class study.
