The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Versatile Technologist (Mid-Level or Senior) to join the team in Seal Beach CA or El Segundo CA.

Join the Boeing Information Technology (IT) Engineering and Product Support Group where we deliver comprehensive software solutions that empower engineering and manufacturing product data for Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) and Boeing Commercial Airplane (BCA) organizations!

In this exciting role you will work supporting cutting-edge products in support of our BDS programs Satellite factory and BCA programs utilizing key applications technologies and frameworks such as Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC) products Creo and Windchill various databases agile and traditional methods. The successful candidate supports Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and Boeing built software to drive innovation and efficiency.

Position Responsibilities:

• Tests implements documents and maintains computing applications

• Gathers and evaluates end user requirements

• Modifies or upgrades applications to maintain software functionality

• Reviews system performance identifies and recommends improvements

• Performs system integration hardware and software installation configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture

• Provides problem resolution and technical support for delivery systems

• Administers users system access and works to protect information to meet security and IT compliance requirements

• Supports backup and disaster recovery planning

• Manages license renewals

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 3 years of experience installing configuring troubleshooting and administering current Windows Server 2016 -2019 and Desktop Operating Systems - Windows 10

• 3 years of experience troubleshooting network and hardware issues

• 3 years of experience in production operations or a support role involving user support/customer support for IT systems

• 3 years of experience using LINUX operating systems

• Experience working with cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and/or support IT project plans and schedules

• Experience maintaining/configuring (AD) Active Directory to include applying domain group policies

• Willing and able to travel domestically 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Security Certification

• Bachelors degree or higher

• 5 years of experience with Windows Server RedHat Enterprise Linux and Oracle Enterprise Linux

• Experience installing configuring and using PTCs CREO Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and other products

• Experience with product license management

• Experience in a product management role

• Experience with automated processes for software updates security patching and routine maintenance

• Experience with storage and backup technologies and best practices

• Experience with migrating from legacy platforms to new infrastructure

• Experience with database technologies

• Experience with automation and scripting

• Experience with VMware hypervisors and vCenter virtual environments

• Experience with networking switching routing and Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs)

• Experience with agile methodology
