Job Summary

Description

Instruct students with learning differences teaching foundational and career readiness skills in the college and career readiness department.

Example of Duties

Instruct and strengthen reading comprehension and math skills.

Support career exploration and work readiness skills including digital literacy.

Support career college initiatives academically and socially.

Classroom management paperwork and documentation including keeping attendance.

Typical Qualifications

Experience teaching in a K-12 or community college setting. Experience and enthusiasm for working with students of various learning abilities and a diverse student population. Willingness to help students explore various career pathways. BA or BS degree required. Computer skills organized ability to follow NC Adult Content Standards given.

Supplemental Information

Ideally looking for someone who can teach both the morning and afternoon section but also willing to hire for each section. Morning section is Monday through Thursday 8:30-11:30 AM and Afternoon section is Monday through Thursday 12:00 noon to 3:00 PM.
