The Department of Emergency Medicine at Markham Stouffville Hospital is currently looking for enthusiastic and skilled Emergency Physicians. Commitments of varying degrees can be discussed. Our collegial environment consists of highly motivatedand skilledemergency physicians subspeciality consultants nurses allied health care teams and support services. This community Emergency Department is high volume with over 100000 visits annually and has a commitment to providing ongoing quality Continuing Medical Education. Remuneration is based on an AFA.

MarkhamStouffvilleHospital is a growing community hospital just north of the Greater Toronto Area. The in-patient 330 bedhospitaland out-patient services currently servethecommunitiesof MarkhamStouffville and surrounding area of over 400000 residents. We also have a strong commitment to patient care and to the growth of our Academic Plan. This includes a robust and growing Research program and the ability to obtain a faculty appointment at the University of Toronto. It is a fantastic place to work!

Qualifications/Experience:

  • An independent license or eligibility for an independent license/practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
  • Certification in Emergency Medicine from Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada The College of Family Physicians of Canada or equivalent.
