Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Cold Mill Automation Engineer includes but is not limited to safely installing maintaining troubleshooting and repairing electrical and automation equipment in the Cold Mill. Able to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime including call-ins. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Advanced electrical theory knowledge
- Control theory knowledge
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Cold Mill processes
- Four-year Electrical Engineering degree
- Experience with Siemens S7 controllers/programming packages and network communications
- Human Machine Interface (HMI) experience
