Job Summary:
The Senior Technology Architect is responsible for leveraging digital solutions to improve healthcare delivery focusing on reducing administrative burdens for frontline providers. This role involves extensive work with HL7 FHIR standards clinical terminologies and collaboration with various stakeholders to develop and implement interoperable digital health solutions. The architect will contribute to the Digital Health Standards (DHS) Program by creating and maintaining HL7 FHIR implementation guides and providing expertise in data standards.
Location: Toronto Ontario Canada
Responsibilities:
- Conduct requirements gathering and develop documentation including presentations and briefing notes.
- Collaborate with partners and subject matter experts from clinical business and technical backgrounds.
- Document and develop HL7 FHIR artifacts and supporting documentation.
- Validate troubleshoot and problem-solve HL7 FHIR artifacts.
- Perform requirement elicitation validation and documentation.
- Perform environmental scans Data Standards research and presentation of results.
- Consult and collaborate with partners to develop and/or update Standards Implementation Guide contents using Simplifier and Forge.
- Validate Standards Implementation Guide.
- Provide data standards orientation.
- Complete walkthrough of specifications.
- Provide testing support from a data standards perspective.
- Apply iterative approach to conduct regular review sessions to demonstrate the work in progress with DHS and other teams as appropriate receive feedback and make timely updates to the deliverables accordingly.
- Develop digital health standards assessments (i.e. Conceptual Logical Physical) to support Project Delivery Committee and other governance structures.
- Present digital health standards assessments to DHS and other internal and external partners.
- Participate in collaboration with DHS team at partners meetings and workshops.
- Develop and present weekly reports on deliverables time and status updates.
- Provide knowledge transfer documents and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for all project deliverables with assigned subject matter experts.
- Follow guidelines for documentation templates and data storage and organization.
- Complete deliverables in adherence to guidelines for all communication email messaging etc.
