Job Description:

The Senior Business Analyst for IT Applications is responsible for leading the analysis design and implementation of technology solutions that support business objectives. This role acts as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams ensuring that application requirements are clearly defined documented and delivered effectively.

• Analyze organizational information challenges current processes and procedures; recommend and implement new processes that improve system efficiency productivity consistency controls and protocols across the enterprise
• Orchestrate and lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather analyze validate and document business requirements for IT applications
• Lead requirements workshops interviews and process mapping sessions
• Evaluate existing IT applications and recommend improvements or new solutions to optimize business processes
• Identify and resolve issues or gaps in requirements and processes
• Develop use cases user stories process flows and data models as needed
• Work closely with developers QA and project managers to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly
• Validate applications to ensure the functionalities are working per designed
• Stay current with industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in business analysis and IT applications
• Provide user support investigate and resolve issues of IT applications
• Adhere to IS change control procedures
• Create and maintain end to end business process functionality documentation for Microchip standard practices
• Play a strategic role in developing long term technology strategies
• Provide guidance to Business System Analyst

Requirements/Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology Business Administration Computer Science or related field
• 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
• Experience with business process modeling requirements management tools and data analysis
• Excellent analytical skills in evaluating and interpreting end user information requirements trouble shooting problem solving data extraction
• Experience with scenario development test case construction flowcharting
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
• Experience in a specific domain (e.g. finance supply chain procurement) is preferred
