Summary:
The position will be accountable for assisting with the Banks accounting function which includes processing journal entries completing reconciliations preparing financial reports filling regulatory reports and performing appropriate methodical analysis.
Essential Duties:
- Provide appropriate research data entry recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
- Prepare assigned reconciliations in a timely fashion.
- Assist with monthly closings and preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Support the general account analysis and reconciliations of the Banks correspondent bank accounts.
- Maintain the Banks fixed asset register.
- Assist with implementing and maintaining appropriate internal financial controls and procedures.
- Respond to scheduling changes and provide department coverage as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Monitor and collect data to assess accuracy and integrity; ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e. GAAP) interpret results prepare documentation; create financial reports and/or presentations.
- Advanced application of Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent intersocial skills with internal and external clients.
- Methodical ability to solve problems.
- Be able to demonstrate attention to details and good record-keeping.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or Business related field.
- 1-3 years of recent Accounting experience.
