Basic Job Functions:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards always. Nucor Steel Kingman is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Caster Lead. Responsibilities will include developing Nucor culture where Safety is a value that is continually demonstrated. Other responsibilities will include selecting teaching and training a team in all aspects of steel production while working closely with peers within the leadership team to develop consistent guidelines for the Nucor Kingman addition this person will be required to travel with the team to Nucor divisions for training in operations evaluating teammates for operational positions and defining specific training curriculum for each position.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Prior Melt Shop experience
- Team member training and development experience
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule unscheduled overtime rotating shifts weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Caster operational experience
- Knowledge of operational systems and maintenance best practices
