Now Hiring: Physical Therapist (School-Based Contract Position)
Schedule: 1 day per week (7 hours) during school hours
Contract Period: September 2025 September 2026 (with option years)
Employer: Augustine Angels / SOS Personnel
- Conduct physical therapy evaluations and re-evaluations in compliance with IDEA and Section 504.
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in groups per IEP requirements.
- Collaborate with teachers special education staff and families to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom and home.
- Attend IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Submit timely evaluation reports and progress updates every 4 weeks.
- Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality (FERPA HIPAA).
- Bachelors degree (or higher) in Physical Therapy.
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of New Mexico (provisional or emergency certification may be accepted).
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a PT preferably in school-based or pediatric settings.
- Experience working with Native American communities strongly preferred.
- Must pass a federal background investigation (BIE/DCSA clearance).
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Competitive hourly rate (all-inclusive)
- Approximately 308 hours per year (7 hours/day 1 day/week 44 weeks)
