Description
Reporting into the Casualty Claims Manager we are seeking a candidate with significant experience in Casualty Claims preferably with broking background.
The candidate should have experience in General Liability in particular US Casualty work and also Contingency A&H Crisis Management. Product Recall experience would be very advantageous.
We are looking for a team-playing candidate happy to get involved in all claims matters where there is opportunity to do so to function at a senior technical level operating as a part of a busy team of varied disciplines.
The role will include a degree of coaching / mentoring to junior colleagues as required and will work closely with the producing / placing teams as well as our other external stakeholders. The successful candidate will also be able to represent the Claims position interest in renewal and RFP discussions.
Candidate Profile
- You should have a extensive casualty claims experience preferably in the London Market with a strong understanding of the legal principles of insurance. Claims will emanate from General Liability Product Recall Contingency A&H and various other associated sources.
- You should be able to quickly build an understanding of a clients business issues insurance needs and expectations and use that knowledge in the management of their claims.
- You will need to have the ability to prepare and interpret claims experiences and bordereaux.
- The role will require detailed understanding of direct and Facultative insurance programmes and how complex shared and layers programmes operate.
- You will be expected to consult with placing brokers underwriters and clients on their claims experience and their overall insurance needs whilst representing Lockton in the highest professional manner.
- Extensive Client facing experience is essential.
- Professional qualification desirable.
