The Corporate Trust (CT) Custody Manager for WSFS Institutional Services Division will be responsible for overseeing the physical document custody operations and security management of client assets. This critical role encompasses the day-to-day processing safekeeping and security protocols for both physical and electronic custodial services including the management of physical documents securities and collateral for mortgages auto loans credit card receivables and other structured finance transactions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Corporate Trust Custody team providing comprehensive training guidance and subject matter expertise on physical document handling vault operations security protocols and custodial certification processes for all collateral types including mortgages auto loans credit card receivables and securities.
  • Oversee the complete physical document custody lifecycle including: receipt and check-in processes document verification and exception resolution secure vault storage management document retrieval and release protocols and destruction procedures in accordance with retention policies.
  • Implement and maintain robust security and control procedures for physical custody operations ensuring compliance with internal risk management policies regulatory requirements and industry best practices for document safekeeping and asset protection.
  • Review and approve custodial certifications document exception reports and vault inventory reconciliations completed by custody associates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage the closing process for new custody accounts by coordinating physical document receipt reviewing and negotiating custodial agreements resolving documentation issues with counsel and clients and ensuring all collateral is properly secured and inventoried.
  • Execute and oversee trading activities for securities custody accounts including DVP (Delivery Versus Payment) DTC (Depository Trust Company) and Federal Reserve settlements maintaining appropriate controls and documentation.
  • Conduct regular physical audits of vault inventory document condition assessments and security compliance reviews to maintain the integrity of custodial operations.
  • Ensure exceptional client service by promptly responding to document access requests status inquiries and custodial reporting needs while maintaining strict security protocols and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external clients on custody-related matters demonstrating sensitivity to security requirements and operational constraints while building strong professional relationships.
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives to enhance custody operations efficiency security measures and service delivery while meeting departmental revenue and expense objectives.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of custody policies procedures security protocols and regulatory requirements specific to physical document management and collateral safekeeping.
  • Manage multiple concurrent custody projects document processing deadlines and audit requests while ensuring operational continuity and service quality.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree preferably in business finance or related field or equivalent work experience in custody operations or document management.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of demonstrated successful experience in Corporate Trust custody services physical document management vault operations or related collateral management field.
  • Proven expertise in physical custody operations including document handling vault security protocols inventory management and custodial certification processes.
  • Strong knowledge of security and risk management principles related to physical asset safekeeping access controls and audit compliance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite required. Experience with custody management systems document tracking applications and ability to develop metrics for monitoring custody operations and vault inventory is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated competency with numbers basic accounting principles and document exception reconciliation.
  • Excellent verbal interpersonal and written communication skills with ability to clearly explain custody procedures and security requirements to diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills essential for managing physical document custody operations and maintaining accurate vault inventories.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment in handling confidential materials and security-sensitive operations.
  • Capacity to read interpret and execute complex custodial agreements security documentation and collateral management requirements for Corporate Trust transactions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate custody status document exceptions and security matters with managers clients and external parties in a clear and professional manner.

Salary Range:

$62918.00 - $103365.50

Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidates experience job-related skills relevant education geographic location and other specific business and organizational needs.
