Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Interventional
Location: Cooperstown NY
Shift Type: Day Shift 40 hours/week (8 hours per day 5 days per week)
Work Schedule: Specific days/hours to be determined; will include weekends and holidays on a rotational basis. Overtime may be required based on departmental needs.
Position Overview:
We are is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist Interventional to join its Radiology team. This role requires an experienced and detail-oriented professional who can perform high-quality radiographic examinations while ensuring patient safety comfort and proper imaging procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
NYS License/Registration (or eligible)
ARRT certification (must be obtained within 1 year of appointment)
Minimum of 5 years of progressive technical experience
Current CPR certification
Registration certification for Contrast Injection required
Key Responsibilities:
Perform radiographic examinations under the direction of departmental radiologists
Greet and prepare patients explain procedures position appropriately and set proper exposure factors for optimal imaging results
Practice appropriate radiation safety and protection for patients and staff
Operate imaging equipment efficiently troubleshoot malfunctions and report issues to supervisor
Process imaging studies and input patient data into the Radiology Information System (RIS) for documentation and billing
Follow all departmental procedures and protocols as outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual
Provide imaging support based on referring physician and radiologist needs
