JOB DESCRIPTION
NON-CDL DRIVER Parts
Area of Responsibilities and Duties:
- Safely operate a vehicle on local roadways following all local state and federal driving laws
- Efficiently navigate roadways in the process of making parts deliveries or pick-ups in a 50 mile radius of the DFW metroplex
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company according to our high standards
- Assist with cycle counts inventory and orders.
- Accurately document and/or audit the quantity and type of items listed on pick-tickets or other like shipping documents
- Properly secure all parts in your care in vehicle provided including but not limited to tying down items with straps and binders
- Problem solve
- Follow checklists and protocols while performing job
- Regularly clean and maintain vehicle
- Ensure a safe organized and tidy workspace
- Support coworkers able to work as part of a team and get along with co-workers
- Follow all health and safety rules and guidelines as well as common sense safety practices
Skills and Requirements:
- Possesses a valid drivers license
- Possesses an acceptable driving record according to company Driver Fleet Policy
- Must be insurable according to our current insurance companies requirements (acceptable driving record age minimum and maximum requirements)
- Must be able to read and write in English in order to follow local state and federal driving safety signs
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Attention to detail
- Efficient worker
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to pass background check
- Able to pass drug test/medical physical exam
Physical Demands/Abilities performed throughout the duration of the work shift.
- Heavy Work- Exerting up to 100lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 50lbs of force frequently or up to 20lbs of force constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects including other job-related items.
- Walking/Standing for sustained periods of time.
- Climbing Ascending or descending ladders stairs scaffolding ramps poles and the like using entire body
- Stooping/Crouching Bending body downward and forward by bending at the waist legs and spine.
- Balancing Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling.
- Kneeling/Crawling Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee(s) or moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
- Whole Hand/Fingers Picking pinching typing with fingers and grasping with the fingers and palm.
- Repetitive Motion Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists hands and/or fingers.
- Talking Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to others accurately and quickly when necessary.
- Hearing Receiving detailed information through oral communication at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
- Vision Close visual acuity to perform activities such as reading using measurement devices viewing electronic devices assembling inspecting small parts and/or operating machines and power tools operate a motor vehicle and determine the accuracy neatness and thoroughness of work performed.
Work Environment: Work is performed in a shop; both indoors and outdoors. Activities occur inside and outside and are subject to work environments that are not climate controlled weather and hot/cold temperature changes dirt dust soot and possibly mold loud noise and ladders to use for high heights. Potential hazards such as moving vehicles proximity to moving mechanical parts electrical current high places high heat and exposure to chemicals atmospheric conditions (e.g. fumes odors dust mists gases) or poor ventilation or a workspace may be exposed to smoke residue mold and mildew contaminated water or other unsanitary conditions as well as being in closed quarters/confined spaces (e.g. crawl spaces small enclosed rooms attics etc.)
