Position Summary
The Pediatric Social Worker provides psychological social and practical care to patients and families through assessments goal setting care planning and referrals. Works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and optimal outcomes. Serves as a clinical resource mentor and leader in the absence of senior staff with a focus on clinical practice education or research. May provide on-call coverage as needed.
Competencies
Education: MSW from an accredited school of social work.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of biopsychosocial and cultural aspects of social work health care systems community resources and the psychosocial impact of illness.
Skills: Excellent communication counseling and assessment skills; ability to develop care plans deliver interventions resolve barriers to care and work independently in health care settings.
Licensure: Maryland LCSW or LCSW-C required (or eligibility per state board regulations).
Salary Range: Minimum 34.11/hour - Maximum 56.34/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
