Manager - Accounts Receivable/Collections

Experience Level: 10 years

Job Summary:

EY Consulting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager for Accounts Receivable/Collections role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in billing and accounting with extensive experience in managing billing teams and deep reconciliation expertise. This role requires a hands-on approach to billing and collections as well as a commitment to process improvement and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee direct billing and accounting month-end close processes.
Manage and lead billing teams ensuring efficient operations and high-quality output.
Conduct deep reconciliations and maintain accuracy in financial reporting.
Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting and account management teams to ensure best practices are followed.
Identify inefficiencies within the team and implement effective solutions to improve processes.
Maintain a strong understanding of revenue recognition and invoicing processes.
Communicate proactively with stakeholders flagging potential issues before they escalate.

Must-Have Qualifications:

Proven experience in managing a team demonstrating successful leadership and team development.
Extensive background in accounting and billing with a focus on reconciliations.
Familiarity with billing subscription models and experience with Salesforce or NetSuite (and JIRA).
Strong technical proficiency in accounting principles and invoicing procedures.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Hands-on experience in billing and collections with a focus on process improvement.
Demonstrated ability to manage large and complex teams with a history of identifying and resolving inefficiencies.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to instill best practices within the team.
