Job Description
The job profile for this position isSoftware Engineering Advisorwhich is a Band 4 Contributor Career Track Role withCigna-Evernorth Services Inc.
Responsibilities-
Write and modify complex software application programs.
Provide technology expertise and delivery accountability for solutions for multiple concurrent projects or programs within an application family.
Ensure quality of technology delivery of multiple vendors technology solutions for multiple concurrent projects or programs for an application family.
Partner with architects to set direction for maturing use of/retiring/adding technology components.
Set direction for mature technology associated with the team a key aspect of which is tech debt removal when possible.
Identify and implement process enhancement opportunities associated with supporting the application area.
Continually improve upon current monitoring both in production and non-production environments.
Drive technical and functional issues towards closure.
Provide technical guidance to projects/programs for complex components of multiple technology suites.
Diagnosis investigation resolution coordination with business application owners infrastructure support.
Serve as SME for components of the team/application.
Complete projects and initiatives as assigned coordinating resources in different departments.
Develop standard practices components guidelines for use of complex technology components.
Resolve urgent and high production incidents.
Determine root cause of problems and drive resolution.
Consult with business and other IT management to evaluate user requests and clarify objectives for projects and initiatives.
Provide assistance to IT team members.
Provide training for new or less experienced team members.
Mentor team to improve understanding and skill and ensure familiarity with resource materials.
Track and periodically report progress to management.

Qualifications-
Masters or foreign equivalent degree in computer science computer engineering or closely related field plus four years of experience in Java application development or a bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in computer science computer engineering or closely related field plus five years of experience in Java application development. Must have experience with: Java; SpringBoot; RESTful APIs; React; HTML; CSS; Kafka; GraphQL; Junit; SonarQube; CI/CD pipelines; Jenkins; PCF; OpenShift; AWS; Kibana; Logstash; Elastic Search; Splunk; Maven; Postman; New Relic; Dynatrace.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
