Job Description
Our dynamic and fast-paced clientis seeking an experienced Corporate Accountant to join their team in Halifax NS.This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Perform day-to-day accounting functions including journal entries general ledger postings and reconciliations
- Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for financial statements
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with cash flow monitoring
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities as needed
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as required by senior accounting staff or management
Experience & Attributes for Success:
- 2 - 3 years of experience in a related role
- Post-secondary education in accounting business or a similar field
- CPA designation in progress is considered an asset but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong general computer skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Able to manage priorities meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality
- Team-oriented and eager to contribute to a positive work environment
