This position is in Cargills food and bioindustrialbusiness where manufacturers retailers and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Packer will perform physical production and warehouse responsibilities with an understanding of policies and procedures with regular this role you will support production operations while following all Food Safety and regulatory polices as required. The Packer will be in charge of operate packaging equipment to fill label stack and stretch wrap product containers.

Compensation: $2236/hr
Job Type: full time flex schedule
Shifts available: Monday to Friday 2:45 am - 11: 00 am and 10:45 am - 7 pm

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform positioning of materials and parts for production per product specifications and production schedule.
  • Operate simple equipment such as a scales and labelers and may use a knife or other hand tools for general use with regular guidance.
  • Convey materials and items within production and warehouse areas by hand hand truck or electric hand truck.
  • Regularly lift and stack materials products tools or equipment.
  • Hand pack product into materials.
  • Understand and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in CanadaC
  • Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Perform basic math tasks
  • Must be able and willing to perform with or without reasonable accommodation: bending kneeling climbingcrawling twisting and lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat cold dust loud noise etc. withthe use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
  • Must have the ability to work overtime including weekends holidays or different shifts with advance notice
  • Basic computer skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or 3 months or related experience
  • Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply
