Job Description

Work Place Flexibility: Onsite

Entergys Transmission Department is responsible for planning designing constructing maintaining and operating over 15000 miles of transmission lines across the four-state territory.
Intern Job Description:
Working in a team environment to assist engineers in day to day activities including but not limited to:
Performing design based on project scoping and site visits
Utilizing design software to model surveyed field configurations
Preparing operational one-line drawings
Validate estimating prices and equipment units ensuring material is properly ordered and staged for upcoming projects Managing projects that are in construction
Completion of as-built documentation
Participate in weekly planning coordination calls
Work on special projects to assist in improving grid reliability
Responding to equipment failures
Transmission Substation and Line database management
Perform various substation design related analyses including substation ground grid analysis lightning protection analysis and bus fault analysis.
Support of business analytic processes through data mining and reporting as well as performing a wide variety of detailed engineering analysis in transmission-related areas such as planning economic analysis maintenance design project management and construction and operations
Supports activities to comply with applicable industry standards (i.e. NERC SERC) and other utility regulations as required.
Travel may be required for the position
Education Requirements:
Seeking Electrical Mechanical and Civil engineering major.
Junior and Senior candidate with graduation dates of May 2026 and beyond preferred.
Must be actively pursuing a bachelors masters or doctorate degree as indicated above and at minimum classified as a
sophomore or beyond.
Minimum 3.0 GPA
