Description: As a Software Engineer at Laza Medical you will be an integral part of our mission to design build test and deploy an advanced automation system for a revolutionary medical device. Collaborating closely with embedded control and quality engineers you will contribute to the development of safe and fault-tolerant motion models and plans device integrations data visualizations and simulations. This is a full time on-site position and will require reporting to our offices located in Campbell CA. Responsibilities Skills & Hands-On Experience: - Assist in developing and maintaining C and Python codebases for medical robotics applications.
- Support integration of software with hardware systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Write and execute software tests to validate functionality safety and performance.
- Contribute to documentation requirements and test protocols for new features.
- Participate in team design discussions code reviews and collaborative problem solving.
- Gain exposure to path planning kinematics sensor integration and simulation environments.
- Learn and apply practices for developing software in a regulated medical environment.
Education & Work Experience: - BS or MS degree in Computer Science Biomedical Engineering Electrical Engineering Robotics or related field.
- 03 years of professional software development experience (internships projects or research experience acceptable).
- Some experience with C and/or Python programming (through coursework internships or projects).
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly troubleshoot systematically and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with basic software testing and debugging.
- Interest in real-time systems and safe fault-tolerant applications.
- Exposure to ROS/ROS2 or interest in learning robotic middleware.
- Prior exposure to medical device development or healthcare technologies is a plus.
Our salary ranges are calculated by role level and location. Please note that your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge location skills experience relevant education and training/certifications. The base salary range for this full-time position is between $110000 - $130000 equity benefits.
