Job Summary

Job Title: Registered Nurse

Reports to: Surgery Manager

Hours: Part time 20 hours

Summary: Care for surgical patients within Kugler Visions Vision Correction Suite as well as the VCS Pre-op and PACU areas before during and after procedures. Work as part of a surgical staff in the operating room as a circulating nurse and help assist with minor surgical procedures when needed and exhibit excellent communicative skills as part of a surgical team.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Circulate surgical procedures using electronic operative notes
Track and document procedures and notes in EMR
Administer medications to patients both oral and topical
Assist CRNA with intravenous medications
Help manage administer and document controlled substances
Check and document vital signs before and after surgery
Assist surgical team and doctors with minor laser procedures (YAG)
Observe patients for anesthetic drug side effects

Skills Desired:

Experience with electronic medical records
