Internship Dates: May-August 2026
Hours: 14/14 rotator schedule (14 days on/14 days off)
Flex Work Type: Traditional On Site
Flex Work Location: Texas Oklahoma Pennsylvania or North Dakota
Potential Placement Opportunities: US Land Rigs or Offshore
Academic Disciplines: Engineering (all disciplines are welcome to apply; petroleum mechanical electrical civil or industrial preferred)

What will you do
- Work on one of our US Land rigs in Texas Oklahoma Pennsylvania or North Dakota; these rig-based internships will be on a 14/14 schedule. You will work two weeks on and two weeks off throughout the summer.
- Gain first-hand experience and knowledge of how a Rig operates what it takes to be successful in the field and how H&P differentiates itself among its competitors
- Collaborate with various teams across operating areas and disciplines to achieve enterprise goals
- Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with safety as the utmost priority
- Seek to understand H&Ps role in the Energy Industry including our brand our customers our product goals and The H&P Way
What you need:
- Students currently seeking a bachelors degree graduate degree or certification program in Engineering (all disciplines are welcome to apply; mechanical civil petroleum electrical or industrial preferred)
- Students earning a minimum 3.0 GPA preferred
- Students with authorization to work in the U.S.
