Lead and engage groups of athletes engaged in hockey specific skills and drills to include but not limited to shooting stickhandling and hockey skating treadmill training. The hockey skills training will be marketed by Training HAUS to be executed within TCO/Training HAUS facilities.
This is a part-time (0.3) position working Monday - Friday days and evenings with some weekends out of our Shakopee HAUS location.
Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health) a group of local medical practices owned and led by its physicians on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain routine schedule of skills and drills as advertised and promoted through TCO/Training HAUS
- Develop and maintain rapport with clients coming to sport specific skills/drills sessions
- Provide instruction of sport specific skills and drills within the scope of practice defined by education certification and/or state licensure being applied to instruction of such classes
- Communicate with coworkers and therapy managers in professional manner
- Collaborate with therapy managers physical therapists and sports performance coaches across the organization as needed
- Maintain safe environment for self staff and patients
- Communicate with supervisor regarding any safety or incident report issues occurring during fitness classes or personal training sessions.
- Any and all other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree or higher degree required in one of the following areas
- Coaching
- Exercise physiology
- Kinesiology
- Nutrition and Wellness
- Athletic Training
- Physical Therapy
- Proof of up to date CPR/BLS certification
