About the team
We are looking for a Senior Software Developer in London to contribute to our high-performance software used by financial institutions across Europe North America and Asia Pacific.
Our team builds robust trading applications that support complex capital markets activities. As a Senior Software Developer in our team you will contribute to applications that traders rely on every day joining a collaborative global group that values quality scalability and problem-solving.
- Whatyoull do
- Deliver high-quality software features and modules in C and Java ensuring code meets agreed deadlines quality standards and coding principles.
- Contribute to the design development and deployment of trading applications running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and AWS cloud services.
- Write maintainable testable and performant code that passes code reviews and automated testing frameworks.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and stakeholders across regions to clarify requirements resolve issues and deliver solutions aligned to business needs.
- Participate in software design discussions applying best practices and design patterns to ensure scalability and robustness.
- Support deployments across single-tenancy and multi-tenancy environments ensuring applications perform under high-volume trading conditions.
What were looking for
- 5 years of commercial development experience in Software Development in either Windows or Unix environments
- Strong experience working withC
- Experience working with Java and Spring Boot
- Exposure to JavaScript
- A proventrack record of building robust financial software solutions ideally within banks or capital markets technology vendors
- Strong ability to write maintainable testable and performant software with solid knowledge of best practices design principles and design patterns
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle SQL Server or MariaDB/MySQL
Additional skills that will help you stand out
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or Sencha Ext-JS.
- Understanding of securities finance stock borrow loan or repo products or experience in this field.
- Familiarity with AWS services and infrastructure.
- Knowledge of messaging platforms such as IBM MQ or Amazon SQS.
- Experience with automated testing at both unit and integration levels.
