Our challenge

We are seeking a highly skilled UI Developer with development experience in JavaScript HTML5 CSS3 and related technologies.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other accordance with law the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto ON is CAD $100k CAD $110k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Develop enhance and maintain responsive user interfaces using and related frontend technologies.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design prototypes into functional web applications.
• Integrate frontend components with backend APIs ensuring data security and performance.
• Implement best practices for UI/UX standards accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews testing and debugging to ensure high quality deliverables.
• Work closely with backend teams to integrate services securely and efficiently.
• Stay updated on emerging frontend technologies and propose innovative solutions.
• Adhere to banking security standards and compliance requirements in all UI developments.
• Document code and technical specifications for transparency and future maintenance.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Web Development or a related field.
• 9 years of front-end development experience specifically with .
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript HTML5 CSS3 and related technologies.
• Experience with state management libraries like Redux or Context API.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs JSON and data integration.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and data protection in banking applications.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
• Knowledge of UI/UX best practices and accessibility standards.

Preferred but not required:

• Experience developing banking or financial services applications.
• Familiarity with TypeScript.
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks (Jest Enzyme).
• Knowledge of cloud-based deployment (Azure AWS).
• Understanding of banking compliance standards (e.g. PSD2 GDPR).
