Job Summary
Role:Security Officer - Armed (Airport Operations)
Location:Aspen/Pitkin County Airport - 233 Airport Rd Aspen CO 81611
Shifts:7 Days Per Week - Either 0700 to 1500 or 1500 to 2300
Schedule:Full-Time
Requirements:
Reliable transportation
Smart Phone
Ability to pass criminal background and additional airport security background screenings
Ability to pass a Drug Test
Must have (P.O.S.T.) Post Certification Law Enforcement Credential and have gone through the academy.
Must be able to legally carry a Firearm
We are seeking Armed Security Officers for an airport in Aspen/Pitkin County Colorado. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of airline staff airport staff TSA personnel and travelers by enforcing security procedures and managing potentially high-risk situations. Youll work closely with team members to identify and mitigate risks ensuring the safety of all personnel and patrons. Ideal candidates will have certifications such as a baton permit pepper spray permit and CPR certification though these are not required. The ability to collaborate effectively and thoroughly document incidents is essential for this position.

Aspen/Pitkin County Airport
- Employment Eligibility:Provide documentation to verify identity and eligibility/authorization to work in the US
- Experience:Must have post certification of prior law enforcement experience
- Attitude:Maintain a calm professional and customer service-oriented demeanor
- Language Skills:Fluent in English speaking reading/writing. Spanish is a bonus
- Screening:Ability to pass a urinalysis (site dependent) criminal background check and TSA background
- Transportation:Reliable transportation to and from work
- Tech Literacy:Basic technology skills and ownership of a working smartphone and accessible email account
- Physical Ability:Can stand sit walk jog crouch bend over and carry 50lbs in a variety of weather conditions and work environments
