About the Business:
The Airline Product eXpertise group (APX) leverages the industry expertise to solve complex customer the Americas we work closely with R&D business stakeholders and leading airlines like Southwest Air Canada American Airlines Avianca Air Transat and Hawaiian among others.
Summary of the role:
As solution architects we are in charge of designing describing and communicating the technical vision for a particular solution. Our main duties are:
Analyze the problem:Contributing by clarifying customer requirements understanding Amadeus architecture identifying the stakeholders analyzing the requirements and extracting those of architectural significance
Formulate the solution design:Creating a solution structure that will meet the various requirements factoring goals and constraints ensuring alignment with the Amadeus enterprise strategy collaborating with the various Amadeus business domains and sharing our knowledge about our customer singularities
Communicate the solution:documenting the solution including the associated effort dependencies and phasing when applicable making recommendations when several options presenting and getting the validation of the stakeholders both internally and externally
Our projects include presales engagements airline competency centers and internal strategic assessments.
We are also supporting our customers in their operations and Amadeus teams when complex problems require transversal expertise. Our main objective is to bring together Amadeus our customers and key airline industry players.
In this role youll:
Proficient in technical knowledge to ensure the team performs at a high level. Is recognized as a leader in their own area and may formally train Specialists/Senior Specialists.
Understands how main business drivers may impact on their own area. Can assess complex problems with broad impact on the activity improve processes and recommend solutions and risk mitigation plans. Able to communicate complex information.
Works with a high level of autonomy based on management directions. Leads projects or contributes to broad cross-functional projects. May contribute to the planning of resources and budget.
Be responsible for the design of solutions within his line department and sometimes beyond
Influence in SAFe at ART level
Interact with Product Managers or directly with the customers to ensure a full understanding of the business needs and customer constraints. Combine focus on customer expectations and integration of Amadeus strategy for any proposal
Lead studies analyze cross functional requirements and other cross-organization cross-functional solutions by interacting with all stakeholders (including architects technical and functional experts delivery teams...)
Understand how functions work and promote cross-business synergies and Amadeus vision via solution recommendations
Contribute to break vision down into achievable actions while keeping global consistency and feasibility over areas
Communicate progress on solutions and agreements at any stage of the mission within the core team
Document and present solution recommendations to all stakeholders during solution review forums with the ability to explain complex technical information in simple ways to a diverse audience
Handover the solution when validated to SAFe organizations when entering the development phase
Advertise the role to attract new talents.
About the Ideal Candidate:
Bachelor or Masters degree in computer science or related field and/or equivalent work experience
Minimum 10 years experience as technical business analyst or similar role
Experience in various Amadeus Altea products/functionalities and end-to-end knowledge about Airline flows
Customer facing experience in the travel industry (and airlines in particular)
Advanced design skills and ability to communicate about complex concepts both functional and technical for various audiences (including C-level)
Team player should put in place a collaborative and sharing framework in an open and multi-cultural environment
Accountability and proactivity skillset positive outlook in meeting challenges
Flexible to contribute to several projects in parallel and adapt to ecosystem constraints (e.g. SAFe)
