The Opportunity
Are you a compassionate leader with a passion for resident-focused care Under the guidance of the Director of Care or Executive Director the Resident Care Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional care to residents. This role combines leadership clinical expertise and strategic thinking to ensure residents receive high-quality person-centered care in alignment with AgeCares mission values and standards of excellence.
What You Will Do
The RCM will champion resident satisfaction and lead quality improvement initiatives.
Support nursing staff in developing implementing and reviewing care plans.
Lead recruitment onboarding and performance management of nursing staff.
Oversee scheduling and ensure smooth operations in the absence of department heads.
Resolve care-related issues with residents families and advocates.
Foster a collaborative interdisciplinary approach to resident care.
The RCM will act as a clinical role model and mentor to nursing staff.
Deliver ongoing education and development for care teams.
Utilize MDS and Care Management systems effectively.
Ensure site-wide oversight in the absence of senior management.
Promote a culture of ethics dignity trust and respect for all.
What You Bring
Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in geriatrics rehabilitation or long-term care.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current unrestricted license (or eligible for BCCNM registration).
Skilled in managing unionized teams and navigating complex care environments.
Strong background in quality improvement risk management and person-centered care.
Excellent communication leadership and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with BC health legislation standards and care regulations.
