DescriptionFords Semiconductor Engineering team is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient supervisor to lead its Semiconductor Resiliency Taskforce. This team plays a critical role in guiding Full-Service Suppliers (FSS) to ensure semiconductor availability minimize production disruptions and build long-term supply chain resilience aligned with Fords strategic vision. Your contributions will directly influence the design and development of next-generation electronic modules and have high visibility across the organization.
ResponsibilitiesWhat youll do
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to resolve semiconductor supply chain challenges and drive strategic mitigation efforts.
- Oversee scenario planning and conduct supplier risk assessments across the automotive semiconductor ecosystem.
- Develop and implement contingency strategies for high-risk components to ensure uninterrupted vehicle production.
- Evaluate product compliance with technical specifications and industry standards requiring strong understanding of application-specific requirements.
- Advocate for semiconductor industry standardization and support innovation aligned with future electronic architecture goals.
- Provide technical guidance during design component selection technical reviews and sourcing phases; act as the primary contact for semiconductor-related issues.
- Investigate quality concerns related to semiconductor components; coordinate with suppliers on root cause analysis containment and corrective actions.
- Establish and maintain robust quality assurance processes for semiconductor components.
- Deliver regular updates strategic recommendations and action plans to senior and executive leadership.
QualificationsYoull have
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree
- 5 years of experience with semiconductor application usage and/or automotive electronic module experience
- Basic knowledge of semiconductor failure analysis and validation
- Knowledge of FMEA (Failure mode and effects analysis) and automotive quality standards such as AEC-Q
Even better you may have
- Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree
- 10 years of experience with semiconductor application usage and/or automotive electronic module experience
- Experience working with semiconductor packaging materials such as solders ceramics silicone gel epoxies polymers etc.
