RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal Quebec the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position summary
Under the supervision of students and fellows the incumbent will contribute with general laboratory maintenance and perform basic molecular and cell biology experiments.
General Duties
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor the incumbent:
Takes inventory and monitors supplies of products necessary to performing duties
Executes parts of molecular biology and cell biology experiments as indicated by the immediate supervisor.
Uses and maintains appropriate machinery tools materials and instruments.
Informs immediate supervisor of any defects or irregularities takes measures to rectify the situation
Performs any other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
