Job Summary:
As aSenior Civil Engineer you will play a crucial role in supporting the design and development ofcivil infrastructure. Your experience and leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the success of our civil projects from concept through construction. You will work with clients collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and contribute to the delivery of high-quality civil solutions. With guidance you will apply techniques and procedures in accordance with established criteria to perform assigned tasks. This position will oversee and perform technical workthat requires previous civil engineering experience including one or all of the following: Roadway Design Drainage Design Traffic Control/Maintenance of Traffic Design Utility Design.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work independently to lead and oversee civil tasks
- Use appropriate discretion to elevate concerns before reaching out to the client
- Prepare project PS&E documents
- Review PS&E project documents for conformity and quality assurance
- Develop new techniques and/or improve processes materials or products
- Assist upper-level management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor
- Other duties as assigned or required to meet the business needs
Qualifications
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Advance English level - written and spoken
- Proficiency with electronic communication including e-mail and text as well as standard office applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite)
- Possess advance oral and written communication skills.
- Represent the organization in communications and conferences pertaining to broad aspects of engineering assignments.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering - professional license
- 8 years of prior experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Masters degree or equivalent
- Engaged in life-long learning to maintain knowledge of contemporary issues
- Experience producing drawings with CAD software
- Experience leading technical discipline teams
- Professional Engineer (PE)
Additional Qualifications Certifications etc.:
- Member of a professional practice organization national board member or officer or national technical or policy committee member
