The role

Asan Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer youll have a role thats out of the ordinary. Youll be at the heart of developing delivering and supporting radiometric characterisation and alarm systems across the UK and internationally. This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to contribute to nuclear safety and innovation while advancing your career in a highly specialised and impactful field.

Day-to-day youll develop and verify technical solutions ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards

  • Lead investigations and drive design improvements across projects
  • Collaborate with internal teams customers and suppliers to manage specifications and delivery
  • Support project execution and mentor junior engineers
  • Promote engineering excellence health and safety and cultural change across the business

This is a full-time role with a 37-hour working week based at one of our key locations Moor Row (Cumbria) Warrington (Cheshire) Leicester (Leicestershire) or Bristol. Hybrid working patterns are available with an expectation of 23 days per week in the office. Travel to customer sites such as Sellafield Nottingham Dounreay and Capenhurst may be required.

Essential experience of the Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer:

  • Working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams across varied project types
  • Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Delivering systems input and providing post-installation or third-line technical support
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers on-site for testing installation and commissioning
  • Background in EC&I Physics or Radiometric with experience in control systems and analogue/digital electronics

Qualifications for the Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer:

  • Engineering degree (or equivalent) in electronics control and instrumentation or a related discipline
  • Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards it

Security Clearance
