Senior Java Developer Client Support | FinTech

As Senior Java Developer at Advantage FSE you will play a critical role in maintaining the health and reliability of our Digital Banking platform. This role is ideal for experienced developers who enjoy solving real-world problems in high-stakes live environments. You will work closely with clients QA and DevOps to troubleshoot and resolve issues in production systems.

What will you be doing

• Investigate diagnose and resolve production issues affecting clients.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and long-term fixes.

• Ensure that incidents are addressed within agreed SLAs.

• Preserve & optimize the quality of our applications / products while proactively ensure the highest level of quality standards in the solutions providedtoour customers.

• Create observability and alerting mechanisms to prevent future issues.

• Provide detailed incident analysis and contribute to knowledge bases.

• Conduct code reviews and champion engineering excellence.

• Participate in patch planning and regression testing for production releases.

• Passionate & talented Software Engineers with hands-on & extensive development experience technical expertise & knowledge of Java EE object-oriented designs design patters coupled with an understanding of architectural complexity.

• Comfortable working in high-pressure environments with critical clients.

What do your qualifications look like

• Undergraduate studies in Computer Science Electrical/Computer Engineering or related technical discipline

• Strong knowledge & proven technical experience of the following technologies:

• Java SDK

• RDBMS

• Java EE

• Technical certifications will be valued

• Excellent command & usage of English (written & verbal)

• Other desired skills:

• IBM WebSphere & App Server

• JBoss / Wildfly App Server

• Maven 3

• Git

• HTML5 CSS3 Angular

• Observability: Elastic APM Kibana

• Data & Messaging: ElasticSearch HibernateSearch

• Knowledge of Java Profiler tools

• Familiarity with unit testing and continuous integration best practices

• Knowledge of OWASP Top-10 Web Vulnerabilities and software engineeringpractices to audit test and defend against them

• Experienced in Digital Banking functionality & General Banking concepts andterminology

• Experience with production-grade deployments and incident response.
