Description

We are looking for an experienced Estate Services Team Leader to join us! This is a key role overseeing a team of Operatives to ensure we are providing a safe and clean space for our tenants to enjoy.

Duties include:

  • Supervise small teams of Operatives providing the communal block cleaning and rubbish removal from land
  • Carry out audits and check work standards
  • Deal with low level disciplinary issues within the teams
  • Ensure work including health and safety compliance tasks is planned completed and recorded accurately
  • Provide mentoring and training in the form of tool box talks refresher training and new starter inductions
  • Ensure Health and Safety policies and procedures are applied and that risk assessments and checks are undertaken to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure the maintenance and repair of all equipment tools and vans is completed and within the time scales required


Requirements
  • Experience of supervising directing and supporting teams of people.
  • The ability to be an effective team player good organisational skills good problem-solving skills and
  • Experience of managing your own workload.
  • Numeracy and English literacy skills up to level 2 or equivalent
  • Experience of using IT Microsoft packages Word Excel Outlook and the internet for work purposes
  • Good knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk assessment methodology
  • Experience using hand tools and power operated equipment such as vacuums mops sack carts and industrial buffers in a safe manner
  • A current UK car driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle for work

A basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required for the successful candidate as part of the pre-employment process - Criminal Conviction Checks
