Education/Experience: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or related field 4 years DevOps engineering in enterprise environments 3 years infrastructure automation (Terraform Ansible Puppet) 1-2 years in a Lead role

Certifications: AWS DevOps Professional Azure DevOps Engineer Kubernetes Docker Terraform Ansible

Position Summary

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks supporting IRS Criminal Investigations digital forensics platform. Drive infrastructure-as-code initiatives while ensuring compliance with federal security requirements.

Education & Certifications Required

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or related field
• DevOps certifications preferred: AWS DevOps Professional Azure DevOps Engineer
• Container orchestration certifications (Kubernetes Docker) highly valued
• Infrastructure automation certifications (Terraform Ansible) beneficial

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated CI/CD pipelines
• Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions for Nutanix and cloud environments
• Create automated testing and deployment frameworks
• Implement container orchestration and microservices architecture
• Develop monitoring and alerting automation
• Support legacy code migration to modern API frameworks

Required Experience

• 4 years DevOps engineering in enterprise environments
• 3 years infrastructure automation (Terraform Ansible Puppet)
• Strong scripting and programming skills (Python PowerShell Bash)
• Experience with container technologies (Docker Kubernetes)
• Background in government or regulated industry DevOps practices
• Proven experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitLab CI Azure DevOps)
• Previous or current experience with the IRS is preferred
