Job Summary
PRIMARY PURPOSE / FUNCTION:
Assist the teacher in the preparation and management classroom activities and administrative requirements. Work under the supervision of a certified teacher.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED
Educational Aide Certificate Meets Highly Qualified status with either an Associates degree or higher 48 college hours or acertificate demonstrating state or local academic assessment.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to work well with children with disabilities
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Patient and calm demeanor with students and others
Experience:
Some experience working with children in an instructional setting
Experience with children and early grades 1st through 5th subject areas
