Job Description

Location: UK - Hatfield Job-ID: 215443 Contract type: Standard Business Unit: Purchasing & Supply Chain

Life on the team

As a Commercial Manager within our GTS division youll be responsible for managing and improving the commercial performance of complex customer contracts. This role requires a balance of financial acumen analytical capability and negotiation expertise alongside the ability to influence stakeholders and ensure strong commercial outcomes.

Youll act as a trusted point of contact on contractual and commercial matters ensuring compliance driving efficiencies and identifying opportunities to enhance value across the contract lifecycle.

What youll do

  • Manage contract P&L to maintain and improve margins in line with agreements.
  • Provide commercial support on complex technology sourcing issues ensuring risks are mitigated and opportunities realised.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers suppliers and internal teams to support effective collaboration.
  • Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers and partners ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Contribute to business strategy by delivering commercial insights and recommendations.
  • Produce accurate financial and performance reporting including KPIs SLAs and contribution analysis.
  • Analyse supplier financial statements and market data to inform decision-making.
  • Drive process improvements to reduce costs optimise performance and create additional value.

Performance Indicators

  • Achievement of SLA KPI and contribution targets.
  • Delivery of accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders.
  • Effective management of supplier contracts and negotiations.
  • Sustained improvement in contract profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Compliance with company policies procedures and governance standards.

What youll need

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a commercial management procurement or sourcing role.
  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge with the ability to negotiate effectively.
  • Proven financial and analytical skills with advanced Excel capability.
  • Experience managing supplier contracts and interpreting financial statements.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to work across multiple geographies.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.

Education & Qualifications

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
  • Professional qualification in commercial management procurement or finance (preferred).
  • Track record of success in a complex customer-focused commercial environment.
