Position Description:

As one of the final checkpoints between our company and our customers the Shipping Clerk is a fundamental part of our company. They must ensure that all orders are processed and packaged correctly to uphold the high-quality standards our customers have come to expect.

The Shipping Clerk places products into containers / boxes and prepares them for shipment by weighing labeling and recording information about each package. Shippers must be thorough in their work. Attention to detail is key.

The Shipper is responsible for ensuring that all items are packaged in accordance to all compliance requirements including DOT ATF FFL Hazmat and destination regulations. They must be able to use hand tools adhesives padding and other packaging items to protect our products during shipping. The Shipper must keep a clean work area and observe all company safety standards.

To ensure success in this position you will need to perform to a high level of accuracy. Top candidates will be upstanding organized dependable and able to perform under pressure.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pick and process orders in a secure manner according to pick tickets.
• Process orders through our inventory control system.
• Process and print shipping labels through applications (UPS FedEx USPS).
• Complying with OSHA and other safety regulations.
• Assisting in maintaining security of warehouse.
• Assist other team members when necessary.
• Maintains files of various reports related to shipping functions.

Minimum Requirements:

• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work harmoniously with diverse range of people.
• Proficient with using packaging tools required for this position.
• Physically agile and dexterous able to lift up to 65 lbs. when necessary.
• Proficient organizational skills.
• Dependable attendance record.
• Basic computer entry skills.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must be highly self-motivated and able to work on own to complete tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• HAZMAT Certification (49CFR/ICAO-IATA/IMDGDOT) preferred but not required.
