POSITION SUMMARY

This position supports and assists families as they identify and meet their own goalsthrough a family-centered case management model for developing and carrying out theprogram Family Partnership Agreements including responsibility for child filesenrollment/applications etc. This position also assists with the completion ofthe child health requirements and other required screenings and assessments. Thisposition supports the larger system of social services coordinated by Head Startthereby supporting the goals of the program. The position may involve reassignmentof caseloads and/or center location as deemed necessary for program operations.

Qualifications

Minimum requirement is an AA or higher in Social Work or Human Services or related human services field.If applicable federal state or local Head Start or child care regulations now or as amendedin the future contain additional requirements or qualifications for this position which are not specifically stated in this Job Description the requirements and qualifications will apply even if not specifically set forth in this Job Description.

Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish or English and other languages present in the local area). Acceptable tuberculosis screening results a clearcriminal records check (including child abuse registry check if required by stateregulations) and an initial health exam are required post job offer and prior to employment. Current and former Head Start parents will receive preferencefor employment vacancies for which they are qualified. Must have reliable transportation and if/when using own vehicle must have minimum automobile coverage required by state of employment.
