As an intern in our Substation Departmentyoull gain hands-on experience in the power utility industry and play a real role in shaping the future of energy.

Where Youll Work :

• This internship is based at our Headquarters in St. Louis MO and will be an on-site role. The program is expected to run from mid-May through early August.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Assist in creating and modifying one-lines conduit schedules bills of material (BOM) layouts relay panel arrangements existing steel drawings and cable lists for high-voltage substations (32.4500 kV).
• Prepare engineering and construction estimate documents including yard layouts plans section views and electrical details.
• Draft and edit technical specifications for substation equipment such as transformers circuit breakers and control houses.
• Collaborate with engineers on integrating protection control and monitoring systems.
• Apply field mark-ups to project drawings and perform supervised calculations (voltage drop CT burden lighting short circuit etc.).
• Contributing to a collaborative team with the flexibility to step in and support other roles or duties as needed.
