Job Summary
As a Hydrovac Operator at Ledcor youll be at the forefront of safe and efficient excavation using high-pressure water and vacuum systems to expose underground utilities without damaging infrastructure. You operate specialized equipment to support construction and utility projects ensuring precision and safety in every dig.

Essential Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment such as excavators dozers and/or loaders to excavate move load and grade earth rock gravel or other materials during construction and related activities
Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments logs and reports any maintenance concerns with the equipment
Perform pre and post trip inspections by following company policies and procedure for routine maintenance perform general housekeeping to ensure Hydro Vac is clean and operating properly
Day-lighting and soft excavating for telecom hydro and gas
Ensure health and safety is the number one goal by following policies guidelines and acting in a safe manner at all times
Set up and inspect grounding and/or bonding procedures by Hydrovac operation
Qualifications:
Must be able to work in confined areas
Prior experience operating a Hydrovac
Candidates must possess and maintain a clean driving record and a valid drivers license; those holding a valid CDL are eligible for additional pay in recognition of the enhanced skills and responsibilities associated with the license
Must have and maintain a clean drivers abstract
Ability to drive a manual transmission
Previous experience in telecommunications is an asset
Successful completion of pre-employment requirements
Work Conditions:
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including the ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot cold rain snow and sleet) and perform work on uneven surfaces
This position will require travel throughout the state of Montana as needed - per diem and travel accommodations will be provided if working overnight and out of market
